So many of us when we hear the words “get over yourself” we
think that people are telling us that we are arrogant or self-centered. That could very well be true in some
cases. There are some people that are
arrogant. They come across as arrogant,
I believe, because they are insecure and immature.
That isn’t what I am talking about at all. What I’m talking about is people who are
insecure making them either shy, introverted, or full of fear when it comes to
connecting with others. That is what I
mean when I say “get over yourself.”
The only thing that is holding you back from being your best
self and having the life that you were destined to have is limiting beliefs and
thoughts that come from your past. Yes,
everyday you will face disappointments, nasty people, and competition in your
business and life. But the only thing
that is stopping you from achieving is the inability to get over yourself,
forget the past, live for now, and have a brilliant, abundant life.
I know from experience.
I was one of those people who absolutely would not get over myself. I had a horrible time connecting with people
because of my past. I was raised way out
in the country with no siblings. I had
no one to talk to until I started school accept my parents. When I started school I would hide from
people just to keep from having to talk with them.
As I got older I got better but still had problems connecting. I was determined to have the life God wanted
for me and the only way I was going to do that was to get over myself enough to
learn how to be a good connecter. I did
that by reading books on connecting and self-improvement. I also realized that my creator wanted more
for me than what I was giving Him. This
all motivated me to become a better person so I could impact the lives of more
people.
