What Keeps You From Your Destiny?

“A man without a purpose is like a ship without a rudder – a waif, and nothing, a no man.” Thomas Carlyle

What is it that drives you?  Everyone is driven by something either good or bad.  You may be driven in the moment by a problem, a pressure, or a deadline.  These things are only temporary.  However many of us are driven by some unconscious belief, fear, or painful memory.  The Bible in Ecclesiastes 1:2, “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.”  Without a clear and concise purpose all is vanity and the wrong things drive us.  Here are some of the things that keep you from your destiny and calling in Christ.

1.    People are driven by guilt.  Guilt will make you sabotage your own success.  There is some action in your past that made you feel guilty or someone made you feel guilty for something.  We are all products of our past but we don’t have to be prisoners of our past.
2.    People are driven by resentment and anger.  Some people hold on to hurts and never get over them.  It’s like failing to forgive someone for something they did in the past to you.  It hurts you more than it hurts them.  Your offender has probably forgotten all about it but if you hold this pain inside you it can keep you from doing God’s will for your life.
3.    People are driven by fear.  That’s me.  I was driven by fear for many years.  Fear is a self-imposed prison that will keep you from doing the will of God for your life.  Fears can result from a lot of things like a traumatic experience, growing up in a very controlling home, unrealistic expectations, and even genetic predisposition.  Fear driven people miss a lot of great opportunities.
4.    People are driven by materialism.  Many people, especially those of us in the Western World base our happiness on material things.  We get our security from the material.  The thing is possessions only provide temporary happiness.  Once the happiness runs out we need more stuff to make us feel secure and happy again.
5.    People are driven by the need for approval.  Many adults are trying to gai the approval of other people because they could never get the approval of their parents.  That’s me also.  I always tried to be a people pleaser because I couldn’t get the approval of my dad.  He died and I never go his approval.  We can’t be controlled by the opinions of others or we will miss Gods purpose for out lives.

All of these things that can drive us will lead to the some thing, unused potential, unnecessary stress, and an unfulfilled life.  They keep you from your destiny.  If you want to have the life that will fulfill your destiny you must go to the giver of life and ask Him to heal you and fill you with the proper emotions for the task ahead.

The World Needs Your Special Talents?

My husband was adopted.  So many people that are adopted have real abandonment issues.  They believe that no one wanted them, that they were an accident.  They live with this belief all of their lives.  It often stunts them and keeps them from doing the things that God has for them.

But is this true?  Are your and accident with no purpose for living?  I don’t think you are an accident.  God planned you before the foundation of the Earth.  The Bible says, “He chose us before the foundation of the world.” (Eph. 1:4)  So you were no accident and you do have a purpose for living.

God never does anything by accident.  There could be illegitimate parents, unwanted children, children who were accidents according to their parents, but there are never any accidents in God’s eyes.  He made you when he made you for a special purpose.  What that purpose is, so few people know because they are never taught that they have a special reason for existing.  I never heard about it until I was confronted with my personal calling sent by the Lord.

My calling is to help others understand their calling.  It’s a gift.  It’s my gift to the world.  It’s what He has been training me to do for years.  It’s strange how perfect strangers will come up to me on the street and just start talking to me about their gifts.

What’s your special gift from God?  Everyone has a gift.  We have unique personalities and qualities that only God gave us. Your race, your nationality, your looks are not accident God left nothing to chance and included every detail.  We have special DNA given to us by God to do His will.  We possess exactly the right genetic makeup to do what he has in mind for us.

The problem is that the world distracts many people.  We are taught to just fit in and do what everyone else does.  Go to school, get a good education, so you can get a good job.  Churches major in on jobs as the best way to survive in this world.  We are not taught that we are special with unique gifts and that we were put here to serve the Lord and others.  The world needs your special talents because we live in a hurting world.  If you don’t exercise your gifts even more people will hurt.

If you want more information about how to serve God and become equipped to serve him spiritually, financially, and physically please go to www.incredibletransformation.com, put in your information and we will have a strategy session so I can help you discover your calling.

How you define your life determines your destiny.  This is a quote from Rick Warren from his book “The Purpose Driven Life.”   Another way of putting the quote is, the way we see ourselves is the way we will live our lives.  Every one of us has a different way of seeing things.  Have you ever been to a seminar or event and you came out of the event believing that you got so much out of it and it was the most wonderful thing on the earth.  The person setting right next to you could have gone to the exact same event and they hated it.  They got nothing at all out of the experience.  That is because of the way the two of you processed the experience.

The sad thing is that you could have come out of the event and changed your life.  You could have gone on to do great things, but the person setting next to you didn’t do anything at all.  He went back to the cubical in his office and complained about everything for the rest of his life.  We all see things differently.  We all process through a different set of programming in our brains.

Many of us go to all of these self-help gurus to try and figure out what’s wrong with us, get the help we need, and finally do the thing in life that we were destined to do.  That may work; I’m not trying to put them down.  I believe that many of these people are sincere about the work they do and they really want to help others.  But there is a better way.

God sees us from a totally different perspective.  He does not see us from the programming that we have in our subconscious, He sees us from the way He created us.  His word says, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Cor. 2:9)  He sees us as limitless possibilities.

There is an old children’s song that says, “You are a promise, you are a possibility, you are a promise with a capital P, you are a great big bundle of potentiality.”  We don’t sing that song much anymore, but I sing it to my granddaughter every time I get a chance.  She is only one year old and she needs to know that she is a great possibility in God.

Why is it that we never see ourselves as a great possibility?  We have been stained by the world, by the things that people have told us, and by what we feel are our own limitations.  If you see yourself in the light of the person that created you, you can remove the limitations and go for your highest destiny.

Life is so Temporary – Live Your Destiny Now Before It’s Too Late

“For we were born yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.” (Job 8:9)

Does it ever seem like life is just slipping past you quickly.  I know it is for me.  It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that I was a child.  I remember that I couldn’t wait until I graduated from High School so I could be on my own.  Then I was married and had kids.  Then the days just kept creepy onward and the kids were grown and gone.  Now I have three grandchildren.  I will soon be 60 years old and I ask myself everyday, “Where did the time go?”

There is a new movement, fueled by years of scientific research, that makes us believe that we can live to be 150 or beyond.  Some people even think that we could live 700 or 800 years making us almost immortal.  I must admit that it sounds tempting.  In fact, my husband and I are on some of the strongest anti-aging products on the planet.  The truth is, we will not live forever.  Biblically the life of man is only 120 years.  Try as they may, I doubt they will find a way for us to live much past that.

Like I said, my husband and I are taking some of the most powerful anti-aging products on the planet.  They make us look and feel younger.  We do this to live healthier lives, as we grow older not to outlive the years that God gives us.  We know that when our days are over we will go on to a better place, on prepared for us by God.

The whole idea on this earth is not to try and live as many days as we can but to make those days count.  The people that make their days count are the people that solve the biggest problems.  The bigger the problem you solve the more impact you have on the planet.  Steve Jobs and Bill Gates became so rich and famous because they solved the issue of how to use the new personal computers when they first came out. They made them user friendly and made the PC a household item.

I will be 60 very soon and I am dedicating the rest of my life to solving an issue.  I want to help as many people as possible reach their personal goals by helping them develop those goals, having the finances to achieve those goals, and having the health to live the best life possible to achieve their dreams.

If you have a dream for your life and would like to discuss it with me, please go to www.incredibletransformation.com  Give me your information and I would love to talk with you about what you want to achieve before your life on this planet is over.

Your Purpose Doesn’t Start with You

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” Bertrand Russell, Atheist

So many times when we want to describe the purpose for our lives the first thing we want to do in this very consumer driven Western World is talk about all the things we can accumulate.  We want a bigger house, a better car, a boat (totally useless in the Desert Southwest), and accumulation of more and more stuff.  Remember when closets used to be hooks on our walls.  Now we have closets the size of whole rooms and they still don’t accommodate all of our stuff.  That’s not what purpose is all about.

Purpose is about something bigger than you are.  Your life is far bigger than your own personal fulfillment, your peace of mind, or even your happiness.  If you want to know why God placed you on this planet you must begin with God.  Even the atheist’s believe that.

The search for significance has puzzled people for many years, thousands in fact.  The reason is we begin at the wrong point.  We begin with ourselves.  We ask ourselves what makes us happy, what do we want to be.  Focusing on ourselves will never bring us to our life’s purpose.   The search for stuff will always leave us unfulfilled.  We get the stuff and it makes us happy for a while, then we have to buy more stuff to make us happy again.  It’s a vicious cycle that never ends.

“We were made my God and until we understand that, life will never make sense.”  Rich Warren  I do love people like Tony Robins and others that have sacrificed their lives to help others in the “self-help” industries.  However, we don’t need self-help we need self sacrifice.

How can you know that you are living God’s will for your life?

How do we know if we are living God’s will for our life?  That can be difficult to figure out.  One thing that I know is that it doesn’t start with the focus on ourselves, it starts with self sacrifice.  If the thing that you have in your heart to do has to do with helping others in some way then it’s probably the one thing that God wants you to do.  But if you want to really know what your purpose or destiny is the best thing that you can do is ask Him.  He will tell you why He put you here.  I don’t think that He wishes you to remain in darkness about what he wants you to do.  Remember, “All things were created through Him and for Him.”  (Col 1:16)  If you want to know why you were created, go to the maker.

If you would like help knowing why you were put on this earth I would love to talk to you about it.  Go to www.incredibletransformation.com give me your information and we can talk more.

Three Things that you Need to Live Your Purpose and Destiny

Why are you here?   Do you know?  Everyone and everything exists for a purpose.  What’s your reason for existence?  Every creature great and small has a purpose for being here.  With humans it seems to be more complicated.  Animals have instincts.  They instinctually know what they were put here and they do there utmost to carry out their mission.  Humans have reasoning.  Many times we reason ourselves out of our purpose and destiny.  It’s too difficult, everyone is against me, I don’t have the money, I don’t have the skill.  All of these excuses will be the things that talk you out of doing the thing that God put you on the planet to accomplish.

There are three things, however, that you need to accomplish your God given purpose.  Well, there are probably more than that, but here are three that I can think of.

1.     You need someone to help you along they way.  It is so difficult to accomplish your dreams and passions because of the many things the get in the way.  Our friends, our church, and or brains seem to either help us or hurt us.  Many people are dream stealers.  For some reason, mostly what is inside their brains, they don’t want to see you succeed.  It’s so important to have someone on your side.  You need a mentor or a coach to lift you up and let you know that they are here for you when things get rough.  You need someone from the outside telling you what you are doing right and what you can improve upon.
2.     You need finances.  So many times our dreams and passion are delayed or completely destroyed because we don’t have the finances to accomplish the exact thing that God wants for us.  We are ostracized many times for wanting to do something out of the ordinary.  We have to fit in.  That means we get a job and then we use our passion as a hobby.  If we would pursue our passion then the money would come.  There are also financial plans available that will also fuel your passion without a job.
3.     You need your health.  Health issues are becoming more and more prevalent in today’s society.  Obesity, diabetes, cancer, heart problems, and a whole host of issues are on the increase in a world where our food supply has become nothing more than manufactured chemicals.  We need to have our health to accomplish our dreams.  That’s all there is to it.  Imagine going to Africa and requiring dialysis.  It just won’t happen.

There is a simply way to have all of the three essentials for living your dream and your purpose.  If you really want to accomplish something great in your life go here and let’s talk about your dreams and visions.

Do you Think you Have no Reason for Being – But Everyone and Everything Has a Reason for Being

Rattle snakes!!  I live in the Southwest Desert of New Mexico.  We seem to be surrounded by them and they are very frightening.  Many people run for cover when they see one.  However, the benefits of a rattlesnake far outweigh their danger.  They are very much needed for controlling rodent-borne diseases, which are very dangerous to humans.  The bite of a rattlesnake isn’t all that dangerous and only 1% of anyone bitten by a snake is ever killed.  Even rattlesnakes have a reason for being.  They know why they exist but do you know why you exist?

WHY ARE YOU HERE

If a low order of being like a rattlesnake knows why they exist why is it so difficult for a human to find out their reason for being?  I believe we are all born knowing why we exist but we are programmed by life NOT to pursue our true purpose.  Think about it.  When you were a kid you probably remember that the boys wanted to be a fireman or a policeman.  The girls wanted to be teachers or nurses.  Now days the lines of occupation are nonexistent so both boys and girls can be anything they want to be.  But all of those occupations have to do with helping others.  I know I wanted to become a doctor when I was growing up.   I wanted to be a nurse, a doctor, or a teacher.

What do all of those occupations have in common?  They are all about helping people.  I love to help people.  I wanted to be a teacher because I love to teach others how to improve their life.  However, life got in the way of my dreams and I never became the doctor, nurse, or teacher.  I have coached people in weight loss and been a leader in Toastmasters because I can’t get away from the need to lead and teach.  It’s in me.  I have to do it no matter what.

What is in you?  Think back.  What was that childhood dream that has gone by the wayside because life got in the way?  Are you miserable because you have never been able to pursue that dream?  What stands in your way?

HOW DO YOU ACHIEVE YOUR PASSION?

Perhaps it is money.  Do you need money to pursue you passion and find your reason for being?  Why not start a business in order to have the funds necessary to pursue your reason for being?  So many people just stay stuck and will not do anything in order to pursue their reason for being.  Start now, don’t put it off, the world needs you.
