Residual Income, 5 Mindset Traps That Derail you From your Success in Making Residual Income

How many of us have tried to make a residual income only to fail?  I know that I have failed so many times.  For the last five years now I have tried to make residual income only to fail.  It isn’t until recently that I discovered the true secret to making residual income from home.

When it comes to making a passive income you will have several mindset traps that keep you from being successful.  Many of them are just things we tell ourselves that aren’t really true.  They aren’t true but we still tell ourselves these things that keep us from achieving success.

Here are five mindset traps that will derail us from our success.

1.    Comparison!  We are social animals and we all compare ourselves to others as we seek success.  This is very prevalent now with social media.  We all like to share good things the happen to us on social media.  Whether it’s a business win or something inspiring we want to share it.  This is good in a way because it can inspire you to keep taking action in your life.  In another sense, it can frustrate you for your lack of perceived progress.  Your journey is personal so you can’t measure it against some else’s progress.  Set your own goals and seek to achieve them.

2.    Self-doubt.  Doubt and fear are in each of us.  We all fear failure or looking bad when we make a mistake.  These self-limiting beliefs can easily derail your progress.  You can prove yourself wrong by ignoring the noise and taking action.

3.    Negative people.  You have probably heard that the people you associate with will affect what you believe and what your do.  It’s true.  Negative people can’t see what they are doing to other people.  If you listen to them over and over again it will affect your mindset and attitude.  Cut the negative people out of your life if you want to make progress on your journey to success.

4.    Lack of Inspiration!  The road to success is long and you need constant motivation to keep you focused.  Because of the internet there is an endless supply of inspiration.  There are blogs, podcast, YouTube videos, and much more.  You need to set aside some time each day to get inspired and stay motivated.  This will help with the negative influences and self-limiting beliefs.

5.    Waiting!  We know that we are going to die someday.  We don’t know when that time will be.  All we have is today, right now.  Today is the day to start, to push forward.  Don’t tell yourself that you’ll take action later.  That will not lead to success.  TAKE ACTION RIGHT NOW!

The only way to become successful in any residual income business is to get rid of the mindset traps that keep you bound.  Now is the time to change your mindset and get started.

In order to become a success you need to get over the mindset that is blocking your potential. Blocking Your Potential, What’s Blocking Your Potential as an Entrepreneur?

Do you actually like working for someone else?  So many of us want to break free of the work a day world and go out on our own.  Is that you?  But what is blocking your potential?  What’s keeping your from becoming that great business man or woman and getting that dream that you aspire to?

One of the things that are blocking your potential as a possible entrepreneur is your own attitude.  Let’s face it being out on your own is a very scary thing to do.  You are solely responsible for everything.  That’s a scary thing.  Could it be that the one thing that is blocking your potential is your own thinking?

I worked for a living for many years.  I was told when I was a child that the only way to make it in the world was to work hard.  My parents were ranchers and the hours were long and hard on a ranch.  But they wanted me to go into corporate America.  It was the 1970’s and corporate jobs were in ample supply.  I worked in corporate America and I was very successful at it, but my own mindset poisoned me for achieving the success that I desired in business.

You become a prisoner of your own thoughts.  One of the things that you learn in corporate America is just to do the minimum.  You don’t go out of your way to do any more that exactly what you have to do.  That is the employee mindset.  Check you thinking and see if that’s what is really happening to you?  Is that your way of thinking?

We have to get out of the employee mindset in order to be successful in business.  Here are three clues that you are trapped in an employee mindset.

1.     You resent your clients.  Everyone gets a bad client now and then, but if you resent most of your clients and blame them for your lack of money or success then you need to stop blaming them.  Here’s the issue the problem is you!  Your success is all about the choices you make on a daily basis.  The responsibility is yours.  Here’s the good news, your choices can make you miserable or the can make you happy.  The choice is yours and you can change it.

2.     You lead with the problem.  When someone asks you how you’re doing in business do you start with how bad things are going?  If you have a problem-based dialogue this is a symptom of a greater problem: your mindset.  If you start every conversation with what’s going wrong then you are likely using that problem as an excuse not to be your best.  Whatever the problem is your thinking of right now you need to start with writing down three ways you can improve this problem and ask for help seeing it in a new way.

3.     You long for the days when you were employed.  Do you ever wish for the “good ole days” when you were employed?  Do you long for the security of a regular paycheck and having someone decide when you work, what you do, and how long you do it?  If you spent years wanting out of the job and now you want back there is probably one thing holding you back and that is fear.  The only way to get over the fear is to work your way through it by doing the thing you fear the most.

You need to take responsibility for you own circumstances and realize that being an entrepreneur means that you are going to have to change your mindset, get over the fear, and just go for it.  You are the one that is blocking your potential, not someone else.

In order to become a success you need to get over the mindset that is blocking your potential. Worthlessness, Worthlessness is a Limiting Belief that will Kill Your Dreams

Worthlessness, we have all felt worthless at times.  But that feeling of worthlessness will kill your dreams faster than almost any other thing.  This feeling usually comes from our childhood.  We were trying to do something good and someone broke our heart by telling us it wasn’t good enough.  They made us feel like we were not special.  We felt worthless because we could never do anything right.

That was how I always felt as a child.  My dad always made me feel worthless.  I could never do anything right.  I was always a good student but if I came home with a B why wasn’t it an A.  If I had an A there was always something wrong with the paper.  He would search it until he found something wrong with it.  He did that because of feelings of worthlessness that he had.  We can’t give what we don’t have.  My dad only felt worthlessness so that is what he passed on to me.

When we are treated like we are worthless then we get the “I’m not good enough” feelings that re-emerge all the time.  Luis Haye said, “The roots of our problems in life are contained in the feeling that I’m not good enough.”  The outcome of telling yourself that story is that after you join an opportunity of network marketing company at the first sign of rejection or disapproval, you out of there.  All of those feelings of worthlessness come back and a rejection just fuels the feeling of “I’m not good enough.”

What can you do to overcome the feeling of worthlessness?  You have to put an end to this feeling altogether.  The belief that “I’m not good enough” is a lie.  When you were born you didn’t have any opinion about yourself or anything else.  You were conditioned by your parents and your environment to believe one thing.  They were conditioned by their parents and environment to believe the thing they passed on to you.  You can break the cycle.

If you can learn one thing, you can unlearn it and believe something else. You can unlearn that belief so that you can grow beyond the belief system you currently hold.  Change you beliefs and change your life.

You do that by getting over your fear of rejection.  You get over your fear of rejection by not allowing the fear to rule you.  You need to lean into the fear.  That means you do the thing that you are afraid of.  Courage is not the absence of fear.  Courage is feeling the fear and doing it anyway.  If you are afraid to talk to someone then go talk to him or her.  If you are afraid to get up on stage then do it anyway.  Lean into the fear and you will overcome the fear and the feeling of worthlessness.

In order to become a success we need to get over the feelings of worthlessness we tell ourselves on a daily basis. I am taking 10 people on the journey of a lifetime into world of residual income.  If you want to see if you qualify for this journey go to www.incredibletransformation.com, give us your information so we can see if you qualify.

Helplessness and Fear, How Helplessness and Fear Keep us from our Victory

Helplessness and fear are two things that keep us in a cycle of failure and defeat.  We all have fears that keep us from achieving the success that we were born to achieve.  Most of our fears lead to helplessness that we think we can’t overcome.  It’s a cycle called the FHF cycle and here is how it works.

Have you ever told yourself that you don’t have the ability, you’re not smart enough, talented enough, don’t know enough people, or don’t know the right people.  All of these limiting beliefs lead to failure when it comes to an opportunity to be successful.

You join an opportunity and once you run into an obstacle you quit because you allow your self-doubts and fears to overcome you.  Then you use the same old excuses that everyone else uses.  I can’t do this because my friend tried that and failed.  I can’t because it’s a scam or I can’t because I haven’t got the skill and no one showed me the skill.  All excuses.

So how do you overcome these excuses?  You have to draw a line in the sand and just start doing the thing that you are afraid of.  I was terrified of cold calling for many years.  I would not pick up the phone, but now I do it all the time.  I still have fear but I have learned how to lean into the fear and take it on head on.  The first four or five people that I call I might mess up because I am afraid but after that I become confident and then I get over the fear as I call more and more people.

You have to take action steps if you are afraid of talking to new people.  Write out the action daily.

·      ACTION:  I will call 100 people today
·      ACTION:  I will write on article a day for the next five days.
·      ACTION:  I will connect with people at the party when I used to shrink back.

After you have the action then you need to set another goal so you don’t procrastinate.  What is your goal for calling 100 people every day.  Is it to get 20 people into your business?  What is it?  Stop putting it off, become focused and start doing it.

How many hours a day will you spend on building your business?  That is what gets you totally focused.  You need to set hours in you home based business.  Make it like a job.  So many people say, make it like a business, but you need to make it like a job and have office hours.

You need to lean into the fear.  If you fear doing something like cold calling, contacting people, or talking with them, you need to just do it.  Draw a line in the sand and just do it.  This will get you over the feelings of fear and hopelessness that you may have.

In order to become a success we need to get over fear and helplessness we tell ourselves on a daily basis. I am taking 10 people on the journey of a lifetime into world of residual income.  If you want to see if you qualify for this journey go to www.incredibletransformation.com, give us your information so we can see if you qualify.

Limiting Beliefs, Shocking Story, Limiting Beliefs are Killing Your Success

What are limiting beliefs?  They are the stories that you tell yourself over and over again that keep you from being successful.  What do you tell yourself?  I know I have told myself many things over the years that have kept me from being a success.  I was never raised around successful people so I never became a real success.

My parents were hard working people, just not successful in business.  They taught me one thing and that was to work hard.  Work hard and you will have a good life is what they always said.  Hard work is definitely a great quality to possess, but there is more to it than that.  You have to have a belief system that will allow you to be successful in whatever you do.

What is one of the limiting beliefs that kill our success?  It’s called hopelessness.  Hopelessness is when you say to yourself “it won’t happen for me.”  Then you don’t even try because you think that there is no reason to try.  Perhaps this is for someone else but it isn’t for me.

Here’s what happens when you have the limiting belief of hopelessness.  You get excited about an opportunity or adventure but you don’t join because you start to make excuses.  You say to yourself “this worked for other people, but it won’t work for me.”  Or you say “my neighbor got involved in this opportunity and it didn’t work for him so it won’t work for me!”  That is what fuels you.

These excuses become limiting beliefs that keep you from joining a great opportunity or business.  These excuses are what your fear has sold you on so that you won’t join an opportunity or become a part of something that would absolutely change your life.

How do you eliminate the limiting belief of hopelessness?  You do it by feeding your brain with positive things.  We are sold the fact that the world is dangerous, everyone is out to get us, the economy is tough, politics are corrupt.  That is what the media and the press try and tell us.  That will limit our ability to be successful.

In order to be successful we need to tell ourselves a different story.  We need to fill our thoughts with positive things in what we put into our lives, what we read, what we listen to and whom we hang out with.  We are the five people we hang out with.  That is what we are told and I believe it to be true.

In order to become a success we need to get over the limiting beliefs we tell ourselves on a daily basis. I am taking 10 people on the journey of a lifetime into world of residual income.  If you want to see if you qualify for this journey go to www.incredibletransformation.com, give us your information so we can see if you qualify.

Compounding Your Income, Your Income Compounded vs. Your Employee Income

What exactly do I mean by compounding your income?  This is what it means.  It means that you compound your efforts with others efforts in order to make an income that will become very significant over time.  It means using other peoples talents to not only develop and income for you, but also an income for them.

Your income compounded will grow exponentially over time.  When one person helps you and they add ten people and then those ten add ten more you can become very wealthy over time.  That’s not the way it works with employee income.  Employee income only depends on the work of one individual, that’s you.  You work for it and you earn it.  Once you make it you make it you have to do effort over and over again in order to continue to receive income.  Once you get so you can’t work or you get laid off the income will stop.

That’s not the way it works with compounded income.  Once you make it, it will pay you over and over again.  There are several ways to make compounded income.  There is royalties from music, videos, movies, books, and such.  That is a great way to make a residual income if you are talented and lucky enough to be able to get your book or movie popular.  You do the work once and then you can make residuals for many years to come.  The problem with this kind of income is that it will diminish over the years.  The older the book, movie, or video becomes the less it is played.

The other way to make compounded income or residual income is with real estate.  Have rental properties and having someone manage them is a way to have compounded income without having to work for it.  The problem with this type of income is that you have to have a lot of inventory in order to make a great income with it.  How many apartments do you have to buy in order to have a good income that way?

The other way is network marketing.  This is probably the best way to make income by compounding.  The investment is low, the inventory is almost completely nothing now because the Internet age has made it possible for people to order their own products so you don’t have to stock any inventory for them.  It uses the compounded efforts of everyone you put into you group.  This allows you to build a large organization of people that will continue to grow.  As long as the company is in business you, your children, and you grand children will have an income.  The only problem with network marketing is you have to become your best self in order to make it and you have to discipline yourself to stay with it until you make it.

Residual Income, The Story of David and His Journey to Residual Income!

The journey to residual income can be fraught with failure, unfairness, and things in life that mercilessly try and keep us from being great.  Let me tell you the inspirational story of David and how he finally came to greatness.

David was born on September 9, 1890 in Henryville, Indiana.  He was the oldest of three.  His dad was a butcher.  He died when David was five years old.  His mom had to work long hours and David was forced to take care of his younger siblings.  When his mom remarried in 1902 at the age of 12 David didn’t get along with his step-father so he quit school in the 7th grade and was on his own.  At 16 he faked his age and went into the Army.  He was discharged a year later.
He married at 19 and had a son.  His son died of infected tonsils when he was an infant.  David wen to work on the railroad and was fired for brawling with co-workers.  He studied law by correspondence and had legal career ended rather abruptly when he had a brawl in the courtroom with his own client.  He was forced to move back in with his mother and he got a job as a cook.  He became an insurance salesman and was fired for insubordination.  Another company hired David.  He earned enough money to start a ferryboat company.  He cashed in his shares at the ferryboat company and started a lamp manufacturing company that went out of business.

He moved for Kentucky and got a job selling Michelin Tires.  He lost that job when the store closed.  In 1924 he by chance met the General Manager of Standard Oil.  He asked David to run a small gas station in Kentucky.  It went out of business because of the Great Depression a few years later.  Standard Oil offered him a gas station rent-free for a percentage of sales.  David started serving food at the gas station and a local critic gave it some local acclaim.  This lasted for nine years until it burned to the ground. David had it rebuilt into a 140-seat restaurant.  Two year later the U.S. entered World War Two and the tourism business dried up.  He was forced to close and work as an assistant restaurant manager.

Ten years later he tried franchising his restaurant idea to a guy in Utah.  There sales tripled on one idea, chicken.  See that success several other restaurants also started franchising.  They paid him 0.04 cents a chicken.  This was not enough to sustain him and his new wife.  He was now 65 and he hit the road.  Often sleeping in his care he would go to a restaurant, cook them some chicken, and if they liked it he would negotiate franchise rights. At age 74 he sold the rights to Kentucky Fried Chicken for two million dollars, about fifteen million in today’s money.  He retained Canadian rights and served as ambassador for Kentucky Fried Chicken until a month before he died at age 90.

The path to Colonel Harlan David Sanders success was a long and tumultuous one.  The path to making money with residual income can also be long and tumultuous but if we never give up, it can come at any time.  It can even come when we are in our 60’s or 70’s.

Passive Income, How Much do You Need to Believe in Yourself to Achieve a Passive Income?

“The only thing standing between you and your goal is the BS story you keep telling yourself as to why you can’t achieve it.” Jordan Belfort

Jordan Belfort is known as the “Wolf of Wallstreet.”  I have never seen the movie.  It’s got way to much depravity and obscene language in it for me.  Jordan Belfort was one of the biggest players on Wallstreet.  He commanded a huge amount of money at one time.  His net worth was somewhere around $200 million.  Until it was found out that he was a fraud.  His get rich schemes finally landed him in prison.  He spent 22 months in prison and had to pay back over one hundred million in restitution.

While he was in prison his cellmate was Tommy Chong.  He encouraged Jordan to become a motivational speaker when he got out of prison.  That is what he did.  Jordan is now a sought after motivational speaker around the world.

What does all of this have to do with achieving a great passive income?  Exactly what are you dreams and goals in life?  What is it that you want to achieve?  Are you achieving your goals in life?  All of those questions need to be asked.  If you aren’t achieving your dream that means that you aren’t doing something that you should be doing.

Passive income is one of the best ways to make you dreams come true.  But you have to grow and stop telling yourself all the stories about why you can’t achieve those dreams.  We all have those stories.  I’m the queen of telling myself that I can’t achieve or I can’t do things because I’m not good enough or people won’t respond to what I do.  I tell myself these stories all the time.

What do you tell yourself?  What kind of story do you have in your head that has been running around in it for so many years that you can’t remember?  I know that I have had these things in my head since my parents planted them there.  I was never good enough.  I could never be good enough or do enough to make them happy.

Some people react to that abuse by trying to prove their parents wrong.  I didn’t do that.  I just went along and became what they wanted me to be; a person that never achieved my dreams and goals.  But no more.  I’m not going to tell myself any more BS stories about what I can or can’t do.  It’s time to achieve my dreams and I’m going to use passive income to achieve them.

I am taking 10 people on the journey of a lifetime into world of passive income.  If you want to see if you qualify for this journey go to www.incredibletransformation.com, give us your information so we can see if you qualify.

Residual Income, In Order to Be Successful Making Residual Income You Can’t Ring the Bell

What do I mean, “Don’t right the bell?”  When you go into a business that pays a residual income it can be very difficult to make the transition.   That’s because you are making income in a completely different way.  Employee income is trading time for money, residual income is trading effort for money.  It’s a totally new ball game.  However, if you master the art of residual income it can be a very rewarding experience.  You just have to stick with it and not ring the bell.

So few of us have ever even made it close to becoming a Navy Seal.  We have heard of the training that it takes but few make it through the 24-month training.  The SEAL candidates are exposed to the worst imaginable tests in the 24 months to see if they can push their minds and bodies beyond the limits of their capabilities.  One week is called hell week where the SEALS are not allowed to sleep and are put through tests that keep them cold, muddy, and wet the entire time.
Once they are done with Hell Weak, the training doesn’t get much easier.  The recruits go on for underwater training in San Diego for scuba and drown-proofing; in the mountains of Southern California for rappelling, mountain climbing, explosives, small-unit movements and tactics; and San Clemente Island, Calif., where they take a final land-warfare exercise in a real-time environment.
This means graduation from BUD/S. After graduation, its on to Fort Benning, Georgia to learn the basics of static-line parachuting, followed by 15 weeks of SEAL Qualification Training (SQT) before a final three weeks of Extreme Cold-Weather Survival.  They are sent to Kodiak, Alaska where they must survive three weeks in the cold.

All of this training teaches them two things.  Number one, the resilience of the human spirit.  The mind and the body will almost give up in these extreme circumstances but the spirit keeps them going.  Also, they learn to rely on each other.  They need each other to keep themselves going during the weeks of torture and training.  All the time there is a brass bell in the middle of the training grounds.  All they have to do is ring the bell and they can quit no questions asked.  Over 70% of all SEAL candidates quit before the end of Hell Week.

When something gets difficult for you, what do you do?  Do you quit when the going gets tough?  Do you get ready to ring the bell and just give up?  That is the problem when you go to making a living with residual income.  We give up before we get our breakthrough.  SEALS get a mindset that follows them the rest of their lives.  What’s your mindset?

Can You Succeed With Residual Income From Home? You Must Go the Extra Mile To Succeed With Residual Income!

Can You Succeed With Residual Income From Home?  You Must Go the Extra Mile To Succeed With Residual Income!

The illusive work from home business.  I see so many wanting to be successful.  The truth is that most work from home opportunities are scams.  You pay the money to get started and it doesn’t work the way they say it should work.  You find out the totally scammed you and that you are out the money that you put into it.  Then you get into a legitimate work from home business and it just doesn’t work.  So can you succeed with residual income from home?

Yes, you can succeed with residual income from home if you get a legitimate work from home opportunity and you go the extra mile.  Going the extra mile and putting a little more into it than others is what will get you recognized and make you the money.

I was at a Toastmasters meeting last night and one person was a great example of going the extra mile.  He got involved in a club that was failing.  The club was on a community college campus in El Paso, Texas.  It was down to zero members that were actually paying their dues.  There were limited opportunities to revive the club but this man said, “Not on my watch.”  He was not going to allow this club to fail as long as he was a part of leadership in Toastmasters.

He decided to become a student at the college and get a degree in Speech and Communication.  He was going in stealth because a beginning speech class for someone who is a seasoned Toastmaster is way too easy.  The teacher finally found him out.   She became his best supporter in rebuilding the club.  She joined the club and helped him rebuild.

Talk about going the extra mile!  He did get his Associates Degree in Speech and Communication.  How many of us will go the extra mile to have a residual income from home?  It is all worth it but it is also a lot of hard work to get started.  What will you do for your family, your community, and you dreams?  Will you go that extra mile to succeed with residual income?  My friend at Toastmasters did rebuild the club and now it’s a successful 15-member organization that is thriving.  He sees lives being changed all the time because of his work.  If that’s what it takes to succeed with residual income, will you do it?

Residual Income, How to make a Residual Income with Affiliate Marketing

In this new age of wanting financial freedom we all want to find a way to make money online.  One way to make residual income is with affiliate marketing.  What exactly is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is where you take a product (usually an intellectual product) that someone has produced and market it for him or her.  You usually make a percentage of that whatever you sell.  But so few people make any money affiliate marketing because they approach it the wrong way.

First you have to find a product to market.  There are many places to find such products.  There is Clickbank, JVZoo, and many other places to find affiliate products.  If you just google “affiliate marketing sites” you will probably find thousands upon thousands of places that have affiliate opportunities.  Most of the gurus in the marketplace also have affiliate programs.  Some are easy and cheap to get into.

Then you need to pick your product.  Be careful.  There are a lot of scammers out there.  Don’t go spending tons of money on something that you feel is a scam.  Make sure you check out the product that you want to be a part of before you start marketing it.

There are many affiliate marketers that have their own marketing material and when you get someone to opt-in to your offer the email goes to the affiliate owners list.  You don’t want this.  You want to build your own email list.  You need to have your own capture page to capture their email address.  You need to have your own marketing campaign.  Why you ask?  If you are one in thousands marketing the same thing you won’t get very much money because you are splitting the money among many people.  However, if you have your own marketing and your own list you stand out in the crowd and you are much more likely to get sales.

You can make a good residual income with affiliate marketing.  It is one of the best ways to get started making a residual income online because it is fairly simple.  You don’t have to create a product of your own.  You have one already created for you.  If you want to make a residual income with and affiliate program you have to be smart and know what you are doing and you can make money off not only one affiliate product but many of them.  Once you get good at affiliate marketing then you will want to expand you horizons and either get into a network marketing program or make your own product.
